Company Name
Space Applications Services NV/SA (Belgium)
Service overview
AI-Box is a data processing device capable of performing artificial intelligence/machine learning tasks; it is one of an ancillary service of ICECubes.
- ●Advanced data processing capabilities to support other payloads and instruments.
- ●Train algorithms to monitor and coordinate other payloads and devices inside or outside of the ICE Cubes Facility.
- ●In-situ data processing using advanced algorithms and neural networks.
- ●Challenges and STEAM opportunities.
AI-Box is a data processing asset with advanced functions mounted inside ICE Cubes Facility. This in-house development is accommodated long-term on the station, and it is meant to support a variety of activities and applications that would benefit from such a capability in-orbit , for data processing, communication and development of new solutions.
The 1U asset was designed with a suite of built-in sensors that generate environmental data to complement onboard activities.
Specific use cases include, for example, software demonstration and validation, embedded and edge computing, image processing, object detection, and voice processing, just to name a few. The AI-Box has already been successfully utilized, while other applications are undergoing preparation. The AI-Box may be able to support all of your equipment's data processing requirements. It may also be able to realize functions you may have not considered possible yet. To get inspired, read more about possible use cases here.
